After more than 10 years of supporting women across Eastbourne, we’ve seen just how much everyday life can change — and how those changes shape the kind of support women need.

No two years have looked the same. The challenges women face have shifted, deepened and, at times, become more complex. Throughout it all, one thing has guided us: listening.

This new chapter at WayfinderWoman comes directly from those conversations. From the women who’ve used our services, shared their experiences, and told us what would make support feel more helpful, more accessible and more consistent.

So, what does that look like in practice?

A stronger sense of community

We have introduced a weekly Peer Support Group — a space where women can come together, build connections and feel part of something supportive and understanding. It’s about creating a sense of belonging, reducing isolation, and helping to build resilience through shared experience.

More flexible, ongoing support

We’re also expanding our one-to-one peer support offer. Previously limited to three sessions, we’ll now be able to offer more ongoing support, alongside a wider team of peer supporters with a range of lived experiences. This means more flexibility and a better chance of finding the right kind of support for each individual.

Shaped by real voices

This change is thoughtful and intentional — shaped by what women have told us they need.

We’re proud to be moving into this next chapter, continuing to grow and adapt while staying rooted in the same values that have always guided us.

And as always, we’ll keep listening.
