Meet the Team
We are a small team of women…..

Laura - Founder
Laura Murphy founded WayfinderWoman in 2013, beginning in her garage with a simple aim: to create a space where women feel seen, supported and able to rediscover who they are.
An experienced coach and organisational development specialist, she has worked nationally with the NHS Leadership Academy and across public sector organisations. Recognised with a Points of Light Award and leading the charity to a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, Laura now advises the Board and continues to volunteer as a Peer Supporter and speaker.
Katie - Charity Lead
Katie has over 12 years’ experience working in the charity sector alongside inspiring people, teams, and organisations. Her work has centred on communication, training, and behaviour change, driven by a passion for strategy and for supporting kind, inclusive workplaces where people can thrive and organisations can achieve meaningful impact. Alongside all of this, she’s also a Registered Public Health Nutritionist.
Outside of work, you’ll find Katie hiking with her spaniel, reading, or playing the ukulele!

Beth shares the role of Charity Coordinator with Georgina, and brings a brilliant mix of creativity, organisation, and people skills to the team. She has a talent for balancing thoughtful support with smooth day-to-day operations and creative solutions. Beth began her journey at WayfinderWoman as a volunteer, and her passion for supporting women shines through in everything she does.

A lifelong artist, Helen has exhibited widely and supported the Sussex Guild. As part of her patronage, she generously donates original artwork for WayfinderWoman projects, including our annual Christmas cards. A passionate local historian and fundraiser, she supports the charity with energy, warmth and imagination.

Jade - Peer Supporter
Jade is a volunteer Peer Supporter with a wide range of lived life experiences that inform her approach to supporting others. Through navigating complex personal, family, and caregiving roles, she has developed strong empathy, resilience, and a deep understanding of the challenges people can face.
Jade offers non-judgmental, person-centred support, drawing on real-world experience to help others feel heard, understood, and empowered in their own journeys.

A retired Metropolitan Police Officer with 15 years’ experience supporting victims of serious crime, she brings both compassion and resilience to her role.
After serving as a Trustee from 2019 to 2025, Tracey is now proud to support the charity as its Patron, championing connection and community.
